At The Oval Office, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated PR & COMMUNICATION MANAGER who shares our belief that in today’s hyper connected and technological world, brands and organisations can create a positive impact by putting human experiences at the core of their communication, driven by the power of empathy.
Your role
The agency’s positioning and reputation in the countries the agency is active in (today Belgium, The Netherlands and France) is highly dependable on the level of quality and visibility of its external communication. Your plan, realised within the given time and budget, will help The Oval Office to communicate with all its stakeholders. As a result the existing (and potential) clients, press, and (potential) employees feel inspired and therefore attracted to our agency.
Your tasks
- Develop and execute a communication and content marketing plan for the group as a whole, as well as for the different countries separately, in line with the mission and vision of the company
- Create and stimulate synergies between the different countries to harmonise their external communication where possible
- Create, write and edit the actual content (visual & textual) for all external communication channels
- Write flawless in at least 1 language (Dutch, French or English) and adjust all texts in the other languages, in collaboration with a native copywriter
- Gather all available content by showing a genuine interest in the work the Officers create. You attend actual events organised by The Oval Office and establish a constant ‘open line’ with all your colleagues
- Monitor and manage the agency’s website and all of our social media channels
- Update and actively use our CRM system to create, develop and communicate through newsletters & invitations to clients and prospects
- Develop, edit and distribute press releases and cultivate strong relationships with trade & business media and influencers
- Advice and support local management in their external marketing activities and events and coordinate with local colleagues
- Manage the overall external communication budget
- Report regularly to (a member of) the Board
Your profile
- You have a proven record in the field of PR and communication of at least 5 years, having worked either on the side of the advertiser and/or agency
- You feel completely comfortable in the world of (social) media and you know how to use it in the most effective and natural way
- You are trilingual (FR/E/D), with Dutch as your mother tongue, in which you’ve got excellent writing skills. And if you also understand German or Spanish, that’s a plus ;-)
- You have an affinity for a European culture and are willing to travel regularly between European cities
- You are agile, curious and dynamic and you like working in a rapidly developing organisation
- You are interested in the communication industry and you follow its most recent developments
